Why Chandra

A few things worth knowing before you visit

Transparent Assessment

We examine first and explain before any work begins. You decide — no surprises on the invoice.

Patina Preserved

We work to keep a watch's honest age rather than polish it away. A vintage piece should still look like one when it leaves us.

Realistic Timelines

We give honest time estimates and keep to them. Good work takes the time it needs — we won't rush a movement to meet a deadline.

Photographic Record

Restoration work comes with photographs at key stages. You see the process, not just the outcome.

One Point of Contact

The person you speak to at the counter is the person who looks after your watch. No handoffs, no queues.

Yaowarat, Bangkok

We are on Yaowarat Road in Samphanthawong — a neighbourhood that has long been home to skilled trade and careful craft.

Is there a watch in a drawer waiting to be worn again?

Bring it along and we'll take a proper look. A Wind & Wellness Check is a good place to start — no commitment beyond that.

Common Questions

Things people often ask us

How do I know if my watch needs a service?
A watch that has been sitting unworn for a year or more, one that is losing or gaining time noticeably, or one that stops and starts is telling you something. If you are unsure, a Wind & Wellness Check is a low-commitment way to find out — we examine the movement and give you a written note on what we find.
Do you work on all watch brands?
We work on most mechanical and automatic movements — Swiss, Japanese, and vintage pieces from various origins. If you have something unusual, please get in touch and we will tell you honestly whether it is within our scope.
Will servicing change how my vintage watch looks?
Not if you don't want it to. We conserve rather than restore to a factory finish. Patina on a case or dial is part of a watch's story — we work to keep it. If any cosmetic work is needed or possible, we discuss it with you before touching anything.
How long does a full service take?
A Wind & Wellness Check is usually about one week. A Full Service takes around three weeks. Vintage Restoration requires five to eight weeks depending on what the movement needs. We will give you a specific estimate when we see the piece.
Can I leave my watch for a quote without committing to the work?
Yes. Bring the watch in and we'll examine it and share our findings. You are not committed to any service until you say so. We believe you should understand what a watch needs before deciding whether to proceed.
Are the prices on the website the final price?
The prices listed are our standard rates for each service. If a watch has complications or requires non-standard parts, we will tell you before any additional cost is added. There are no hidden charges.
